Bridal designs galore

My bridal range has just taken off so well with my patterns having become extremely popular. I am super grateful and I am hard at work expanding my range.

Sweetheart Trumpet style gown

This is a fit and flare style gown, it is designed to hug the figure closely until midway between the knees and hips, where it flares out. Adding applique lace to this design gives it an elegant and timeless finish.

Princess style gown

The pattern for this dress is currently available for pre-order. It has a corset bodice which is complimented by the layers of skirt that flow behind the bride to be. This gown will make any bride feel like the amazing, special person that she is, on her wedding day.

Empire style gown

A classic and timeless cut, this gown suits the bride who knows who she is and carries a natural grace and beauty with her wherever she goes. It can also be used to create bridesmaid dresses.

Plus many more to come

This is just the beginning, there are many more designs to come over the upcoming year.

Our first bridal range

The weeks are flying by as fast as the year has! I can barely believe that it’s already mid December! Only 10 days to Christmas, and 16 days until we are looking at a new year... it hasn’t quite sunk in yet.

I have been busy working away at our range of bridal patterns, and the first pattern is almost complete.

This week’s patterns in review

Our first wedding dress pattern

The completed pattern will be officially launched on the 22nd of December. Until then I have loaded it in my online store for pre-orders.

Those who pre-order this pattern will pay a low, special price of $9.99 – once the pattern has launched it will retail for $14.99 so it really is worthwhile placing your order early. Pre-orders will be emailed  out on the morning of 22nd December 2015.

Those who take advantage of the pre-order special will also receive the free sewing pattern for my wedding ring pillows.

These are ideal for displaying rings for photography reasons, and of course for use during the wedding ceremony. It even includes an elastic band to prevent the little ring bearer from accidentally dropping the pillows while carrying out his / her precious duties.

The wedding ring pillow

No one is too sure of the exact history of the wedding ring pillow that is used during wedding ceremonies, although it does lean strongly towards ancient Egyptian times, there are many small cultures across the world who seem to have had similar traditions.

For me it is a symbolic act that shows, at the beginning of the marriage, the importance of the coming together of two people, a sacred union. Wedding rings are the everyday symbol to be worn by each person to express their dedication and love to one another.

I have created a wedding ring pillow pattern to share with all the brides and grooms to be so that they can continue to share in this beautiful tradition, and it can be kept as a keepsake and reminder of their dedication to one another.

It includes an elastic along the bottom to prevent any nervous ring bearers from dropping the pillows while making his or her way to the altar and the happy couple, and can be made from most fabrics (perhaps even left over extra fabrics from the bride’s wedding dress and the grooms suit).

This little pillow also works as a prop for photographs of the wedding rings, and beautiful, memorable images can be created to remember your special day!

I hope you enjoy sharing in such a magical moment, and happy sewing!
